Light in the Storm
HOT OFF THE EASEL!
I named this Light in the Storm. As I was painting I really wanted the LIGHT to be the focus, not the dark.
We had just had a big storm here on the Gold Coast and several days of rain, thunder and lightning.
I was also thinking of what’s happened this past week in NZ and other tragedies around the world and how it’s so easy to be overcome by fear and despair.
We can focus on the evil that a small majority of people choose to do and let the sadness of that swamp our hearts.
Or we can shift that focus onto the acts of kindness that have surfaced in spite of these terrible tragedies and look for ways to spread and magnify that goodness.
Love is still greater than hatred and light will still overcome darkness.
