What's on the Easel?

In the midst of the chaos that is my studio atm, (I'm still unpacking from our move to Queensland), I spent sometime working on this small 20x20cm experimental piece today. 

Test Run

I often try out ideas, composition or techniques on small canvases and then if I happy with them they may become a larger work. 

A Favourite Technique

The techniques in these two abstract pieces are some of my favourites and I often use them as a 'start' for a work then build more layers and other mixed media techniques on top. 

Organic shapes

Here, I've left it in a more simplified state and I love the loose organic shapes.  

Three of my favourite colour combos in earth pigments add to the organic feel.
