Packing Up to Move On
Well, it's time to pack up my art studio ready for our long drive interstate to Queensland at the end of May.
It's surprising just how much 'stuff' we collect.
The idea of simplifying life and 'traveling light' is becoming more and appealing as I work through this packing up process.
Even as I'm wrapping paintings and fitting them into boxes my mind is buzzing with inspiration towards creating some abstract works around this whole experience.
What I love about abstract work is that it is about breaking things down into basic shapes, pruning back what you see and simplifying it into an abstract interpretation.
I'm excited about this next stage in my life where everything is new; new house, new neighbourhood, new studio and new opportunities.
